Connect your PC to the LAN port of your DNS-313
Start up a Internet explorer and key in 192.168.0.32 (by default)
Enter the Username: admin , Password: leave blank(by default)

The DNS-313 has a setup Wizard that allows you to quickly configure some of the basic device settings.
When running the DNS-313 setup wizard, the welcome screen details the five steps of the wizard. Click ‘Next’ to continue.
It is recommended you set an admin password here. Enter the new password and re-enter it for confirmation. Click ‘Next’ to
continue.
Set the appropriate Time Zone and click ‘Next’ to continue.
Edit or change the DNS-313 LAN information, or to keep the current settings, click ‘Next’ to continue.
Enter a workgroup, name, and description for the DNS-313, or leave the default values and click ‘Next’ to continue.
When the wizard completes, click ‘Back’ to go back and make changes or click ‘Restart’ to restart the DNS-313 and save the
configuration.
While the DNS-313 is restarting, a Loading message will appear.

>>> DNS-313 How to install a DNS-313 Network Storage Device?
***Note: DNS-313 must be installed using the D-link Click and Connect Wizard before it can be fully functional. You also need to do this step only once. Here are the things that you must do before attempting to install it:
1. You must connect the device to the back of your router/switch using an Ethernet cable.
2. The Hard Disk inside of the device must have no partitions, and it must be fully formatted. You can verify this by having a green light above the power button on the device.
3. Firewalls must be off, and disabled.
4. The D-Link CD must be inside of the computer prior to installation.
Step 1: Launch the D-link Click and Connect Wizard for the DNS-313 by inserting the CD on your PC. You will see a picture like the one indicated below, click the Start button.
Step 2: Under the Click and Connect Menu, please click New Hard Drive install. Click Next.
Step 3: Follow the steps stated on the wizard on how to install your Hard Drive. Once done, click the Next Button.
Step 4: Connect the ethernet cable into the device’s ethernet port and the other end to your router. Click Next.
Step 5: Plug the power cable into the back of the device, and turn it on. Please make sure that the light above the power button is green, which indicates that the Hard Drive has no partition. Click Next.
Step 6: The device will now prepare your Hard Drive. Please wait for the progress bar to fill up. This can take up to 20 minutes or less. once done, Click Next.
Step 7: You will be able to see the format window. Your Hard Drive is now being formatted, please wait for the progress bar to fill up, and click Next.
Step 8: After that, will see the window indicated below. Click Next
Step 9: Device will restart, wait for the progress bar to fill up. Click Next.
Step 10: Choose a Drive Letter, you will see this drive in your My Computer icon on your PC, this where you can store your files later. Click Next.
Step 11: You will see the summary of the DNS-313 info. Please write it down for future reference. If you want to login to the web based configuration, feel free to click the Advanced Options button. Otherwise, click the Exit button
