>>> DPR-1260 Basic Configuration

Step 1. Install drivers for your printer on your computer. Confirm that your printer is functioning correctly.

Step 2. Turn the printer off. Connect the USB cable from your printer to one of the USB ports on the Print Server. Turn the printer on. Turn the Print server on.

Step 3. Connect computer and the Print Server to your network using network cables. Confirm connectivity by checking the LAN link lights.

Step 5. Make sure that your computer's IP address is in the 192.168.0.x range. To set your computer to the 192.168.0.x range temporarily go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connection > Local Area Connection > Properties > Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) > Properties. Set with the following:
IP Address 192.168.0.9

On the Network Settings page:

- Specify the IP address you want your Print Server to have. The IP address should be within the range of addresses used on your network (verified in Step 4). But it can not repeat the address of any of the devices on your network (having the last octet of the address between 2 and 99 would be the safest option).
- Specify Subnet Mask and Default Gateway as seen in Step 4.
Click on the Save button. Close the Internet Explorer window.

Step 8. Change your computer's network setting back to how they were before (see Step 5).

Step 9. Open Internet Explorer and type the new IP address which you've assigned to the Print Server in Step 7. Press Enter.
